Caring for Your Heirloom Pashmina

A genuine pashmina is a delicate natural fibre, made to be treasured for generations. With thoughtful care, your pashmina will grow softer with age and can be proudly passed down for generations.

The Four Pillars of Longevity

Honoring the Lifetime of the Craft

Storage & Resting

When not in use, gently fold your pashmina and place it inside the cotton storage bag provided with your piece. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and excessive heat. We recommend allowing your pashmina to breathe rather than storing it in plastic or airtight packaging. Avoid hanging your pashmina for long periods, as this can cause the delicate fibres to stretch. Folding it loosely is preferable.

Dry Cleaning

Pashmina is a delicate natural fibre and should be treated with care. For cleaning, we recommend using a professional dry cleaner experienced in handling fine natural fibres. Please avoid washing, bleaching, tumble drying, or using harsh detergents unless specifically advised by a specialist.

Artisan Restoration

If your pashmina has suffered significant damage, please contact us. Where possible, our artisans will carefully assess and restore your piece. Restoration is offered as a paid service, with the cost determined by the extent of the damage and confirmed with you before any work begins.
